Subject: Sport Insurance for BSI Members
This memo is to inform you that all the coaches, players, executive and staff of Saskatoon Mens Basketball
League are members of Basketball Saskatchewan Inc. and as such are covered under our Liability Insurance &
Sport Accident Insurance with Aon Reed Stenhouse Inc while participating in activities associated with your
organization. This coverage is valid from September 1st, 2025 through September 30th, 2026.
The team has general liability and personal liability insurance for $5 million. For further details please visit our

documentation where they are specifically named please contact us to get the form completed.
Injury/Accident Claims
An accident claim form will be sent out with this letter. Please take a moment at the beginning of your season to
read over it so that you are clear on the instructions and timelines in case someone in your organization does have to
submit a claim.
Adding Additional Members
Basketball Saskatchewan member Organizations are permitted to add additional members to their registration
throughout the Membership Season. Please contact the BSI office via email to add players to your league. Please
note that any new members will not have insurance coverage until member information has been submitted to the
BSI office
Respect in Sport and Criminal Record Checks for Coaches
All Coaches within your organization must have completed Respect in Sport and have an active criminal record
check on file with your organization (valid for up to 3 years). If coaches do not have these components completed
then there is the possibility that insurance is invalidated.
